Description

LIM College’s CSR Club returns with their Second Annual Earth Day Fair. This year, LIM is bringing sustainability on campus by creating a safe space for the conscious consumer, allowing them to explore the many facets that going green has to offer. There will be vendors throughout Maxwell Hall’s Student Lounge selling their handcrafted products, including WEBA Natural Products, Tamora Lee Jewelry, and more. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with brand owners and understand how sustainability can make an impact locally.

In addition to our vendors, Earth Day will include a series of ongoing activities hosted by other LIM clubs as well as outside organizations. LIM’s Cosmetics Club and Visual Club will be in attendance to showcase how their work can help make positive impact both on campus and around the community. Earth Day Fair is meant to act as a means of exploring and experimenting with the idea of being more eco-friendly in our everyday lives.

Event attendees have the opportunity to sit in on two excellent speaker sessions during the event. The first session will be hosted by Prof. Gayathri Banavara’s student for her Spring 2017 Corporate Social Responsibility class. Students Madison Ross and Andjalie Ramdoelare will be presenting on their findings to create a sustainable business plan and model. The second speaker session will include a panel consisting of representatives from outside Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and LIM faculty. Kelly Egan from Peace Day 365, Professor Flora Brunetti from LIM, and others will be discussing a broad range of topics spanning from the role of human interaction in CSR, to the role that fair standards play when it comes to being a socially responsible corporation.

We hope to see you there
